CONSIGNMENT

We will be happy to find a new home for your vintage pieces. Below you will find a detailed guide and our terms and conditions. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us: SOVAINOFFICIAL@GMAIL.COM

1. CONTACT US: Send us an email with details about the piece you would like delivered. A team member will contact you as soon as possible (usually within 48 working hours)

2. SHIPPING: Shippers are responsible for shipping the pieces to the SOVAIN office. We will not be able to provide pricing estimates until the piece is received and inspected in our studio.

3. INSPECTION: Upon receipt, we will inspect the garment for condition and authenticity. This includes a thorough check for any defects, soiling or necessary repairs.

4. PRICING: We will recommend a list price based on our inspection and market research. The owner has the right of refusal for the suggested price.

5. SALES ACCOUNT AGREEMENT: Once the price is agreed upon, we will prepare a contract with the consignor. The contract will include details of the agreement between the parties, including prices, defects and any pre-approved repair work.

6. PREPARATION FOR SALE: We will repair and clean the item to ensure it is in the best possible condition. An estimate of the cost of any cleaning or repairs will be emailed to you with price estimates for approval before any work begins and collaboration begins

*NOTE: The cost to clean and repair the garment is deducted from your payment and will be clearly stated in the contract which must be accepted before proceeding with any repairs.

7. PROMOTION AND SALES: Professional photographs and post production will be taken to showcase the piece. Your item will be promoted through our various online channels, and to our customers during private visits to our showroom, until sale. The posting of articles online will be subject to our content calendar. We cannot guarantee a certain promotion date, time or amount for items.

*NOTE: Although we can never guarantee the sale of a garment, we advise our customers to authorize us to present their garments also at vintage fairs and special events in which we participate in Europe and the United States; this extra service includes a down payment equal to 12% of the cost of each individual item, to cover transport/shipping and insurance costs.

8. PAYMENT: Once your item is sold, you will receive 70% of the proceeds via one of the agreed methods, bank transfer, PayPal, Revolut, Wise. Alternatively, you can choose to receive 70% of the proceeds in credit in our shop.

STYLIST

We will be happy to offer our garments to your customers for photo shoots and special events. Write to SOVAINOFFICIAL@GMAIL.COM and we will send a specific rental contract for your request.

Shipping can be managed by us with DHL courier but costs will be your responsibility and a 12% restocking fee will be applied to any item that leaves our archive. Any item worn after the agreed period will be charged for its full cost.

TAILORING AND REPAIRS: We do not allow outside tailors or dry cleaners to work on our garments, including the use of pins during fittings. If the item is returned with any damage or holes, you will be responsible for purchasing the item. If the item becomes damaged or dirty during the fitting, please do not send the item to the cleaners or for repairs without consulting us first. If the item is returned in a different condition than we sent it in, you will be responsible for purchasing the item.
